EU-US Collaboration - Joint Strategic Workshops
Abstract:
The European Commission (IST-FET programme ) and the US National Science Foundation (CISE-NSF division) will organize a series of strategic workshops to identify key research challenges and opportunities in Information Technology. This activity will be supervised by a Strategic Workshop Review Committee (SWRC).
ERCIM was selected to solicit bottom-up ideas for high-level workshops from the European IT scientific community. The focus is on emerging key areas of mutual interest on which a world-class series of workshops would be relevant. One outcome of each workshop should be recommendations for future joint EU-US activities in the domain covered by the workshop.
