CNR - Francesco Beltrame has been nominated Director of the Department for Information and Communications Technologies of the Italian National Research Council, one of the eleven macro research areas resulting from the recent restructuring of CNR. The Department is responsible for the coordination and evaluation of the scientific and technical activities of the seven CNR Institutes working in the ICT sector. Professor Beltrame holds the Chair of BioEngineering at the University of Genoa and he is President of the Scientific and Technical Committee for Industrial Research of the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. He is also Italian representative at the European Commission for the IST programme under FP6.
