by Pierre Népomiastchy

The A.M.Liapunov Franco-Russian Institute for Applied Mathematics and Computer Science was founded in november 1993 by an agreement between INRIA and Moscow State University. The institute is open for cooperation with any French and Russian research organizations and their industrial partners in the field of applied mathematics and computer science, in a framework of joint research projects.

In a near future, we plan to open the Institute to non-French West European partners, in priority to ERCIM members.

The Moscow State University.

The Liapunov Institute is located in Moscow State University and has modern computer equipment.
Today, nine joint research projects have been created with the following partners:

Project 1: Numerical solution of partial differential equations and their applications in the field of aeronautic and space industry:

Project 2: Numerical solution of fluid dynamic problems:
Project 3: Modelling and evaluation of informational systems. Probability problems of informational and tele-informational networks:
Project 4: Parallel architecture and compilers:
Project 5: Dynamic games:
Project 6: Theoretical and numerical investigation of oceanic and atmosphere circulations predictability:
Project 7: Asymptotic behaviour and nonlinear process stability:
Project 8: Numerical methods for geophysic parameter identification
Project 9: Intellectual multiagent system of decision making:
