European researchers, research organisations and companies have presented a joint Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for the Future of Software in Brussels. The agenda sets out the software capabilities Europe needs to strengthen in the coming years to help shape its digital future.

Software Engineering SRIA Launch Event
The ERCIM Working Group on Software Engineering and the Informatics Europe Working Group on Software Research are pleased to announce the launch of the first Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for Software Engineering.
Developed through a joint European community effort, the SRIA presents a shared vision for strengthening software engineering research, innovation and capabilities across Europe. The launch event will bring together representatives from the European Commission, policymakers, industry and the research community to discuss how Europe can shape its future software engineering agenda.

The ERCIM Fall Meetings 2026 will take place on 29–30 October 2026 in Porto, Portugal, hosted by INESC TEC.
The programme includes meetings of the ERCIM Task Groups, as well as the ERCIM AISBL Board meeting and General Assembly. Online participation will also be possible for those unable to attend in person.
The 5th edition of the ERCIM Forum Beyond Compliance on Research Ethics in the Digital Age will take place on 29–30 October 2026 in Porto, Portugal, hosted by INESC TEC.
